Hey guys krista, @niallator99 here(:
this tip was requested by @prettyamazing365, i'm so sorry that this is extremely late! i hope it helps though(:
So first off, it's never to late to start dance classes! but do know that you will need to work extra hard and it might be challanging starting at an older age. I personally think it's true that starting off at a younger age makes it easier, but if you really want to be a dancer, than go for it!
♥F I N D I N G A S T U D I O;;
so first off, you will need to find a dance studio to take lessons at! simply, just google "dance studios near {{enter your city}}" and hopfully some will pop up! research about that studio, check out some important things such as;;
♥prices of classes, ask your parents how much they are willing to pay for the classes
♥how far away it is, you probably wont want to be driving a super huge distance just to get to class
♥what types of dance they offer, there are many different types of dance, ballet, tap, jazz, kick line, acrobatic, contemporary, lyrical, hip hop, plus many many more! i would suggest trying out a ballet class first, because ballet is the core of all dance. plus it will help you figure out what type is right for you.
♥if there is a competition team, so you might want to know if they offer a competition team. it might take you a while to get on one if this would be your first time trying dance, but for later if you were interested it might be nice. i personaly never have been on a studio competition team (my school dance team is competition) but i always wished i had
♥if you can visit the studio, this is a great things to do, you can first call them and ask them for hours that you can visit the studio. I have done this many times and it has helped. They can answer questions for you, you can watch a class, they will tell you the classes they offer and you can tour the studios.
I would also recommend trying out a class, sometimes studios will let you try a class for free to see if you like it.
♥W H A T T O W E A R;;
make sure you wear the right stuff to your first class! i made this tip a while back about what to wear to dance class------> http://www.polyvore.com/what_to_wear_dance_class/set?id=60290268&lid=1927995 also a tip on what to put in your dance bag-----> http://www.polyvore.com/whats_in_my_dance_bag/set?id=62544398&lid=1927995
remember that you might have a difficult time but if it's your first time ever taking a class, then that's normal! it will take time and effort to become a good dancer (dance is a hard sport!) but use that to give you a reason to try harder!
♥L E V E L S O F D A N C E
so you might need to ask someone at the studio if there are levels of dance or if they have beginner classes. you won't want to go in an age level class where everyone is more advanced than you. you also won't want to be in a beginner class where it's all 5 year olds and then there's you. most likely they will have a beginner class for your age that you can take
Well, that's all i've got, i hope this helps!!
You're Perfect to me♥
